Muhammad Musa's Story

Muhammad Musa, a 1.5-year-old boy from Sahiwal, had been living with chest discomfort and shortness of breath since the day he was born. His parents noticed that he often struggled to breathe and became unusually tired even during normal activities. At times, his lips and skin would turn bluish, leaving his family frightened and helpless. These alarming episodes gradually became more frequent, making it difficult for little Musa to live comfortably like other children. Deeply worried about their son’s health, his parents took him to a local hospital for a consultation. After detailed examinations and cardiac investigations, the doctors diagnosed Musa with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). To save his life and improve his condition, the doctors recommended open-heart surgery for total correction.

Musa’s family was already struggling to survive financially. His father, the only earning member of the household, works as a laborer and earns nearly PKR 25,000 per month. This limited income barely supports the needs of a large family of eleven, including Musa and his eight siblings. Providing food, clothing, and other daily necessities was already difficult, putting the cost of this life-saving heart surgery beyond the family’s reach. Watching their son suffer while being unable to afford treatment left Musa’s parents devastated. With no hope left, they turned to Transparent Hands for support. After carefully reviewing Musa’s medical reports and understanding the family’s severe financial hardships, Transparent Hands registered his case for treatment.

On April 26, 2026, Musa was admitted to the Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore. The following day, on April 27, 2026, his open-heart surgery for total correction of Tetralogy of Fallot was successfully performed by Dr. Asim Khan. The procedure corrected the defects affecting his heart and restored healthier blood flow throughout his body. After careful post-operative monitoring and specialized medical care, Musa showed encouraging recovery and was discharged from the hospital in stable condition on May 1, 2026.

Musa’s parents shared their joy as follows:

“We lived in constant fear because our child struggled to breathe and suffered so much at such a young age. We could never have arranged this heart surgery without your support. Today, seeing our son recovering gives us hope and happiness that words cannot explain. Your support saved our child’s life, and we will always remain grateful.”

Musa is now recovering steadily and has been given a healthy future.

His family sincerely thanks you and the PCHF for saving their little boy’s life.
