Razia Arz Muhammad's Story

Razia Arz, a 54-year-old woman from Matiari, Sindh, has been suffering from pain in the upper right side of her abdomen for three months. What initially seemed like a minor health issue gradually became a source of constant discomfort. Nausea and indigestion, especially after eating oily or fatty foods, have made her daily life increasingly difficult. Concerned about her worsening condition, Razia visited a doctor for an evaluation. After undergoing laboratory tests and an ultrasound examination, she was diagnosed with cholelithiasis. It is a condition in which gallstones develop inside the gallbladder. To relieve her pain and prevent further complications, doctors have recommended a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

If left untreated, gallstones can lead to serious health complications, including:

  • Severe inflammation of the gallbladder
  • Infection and blockage of the bile ducts
  • Persistent digestive problems and abdominal pain
  • Increased risk of panctreatitis.

Razia’s husband is unemployed, and the household depends entirely on the earnings of their two sons, who work as laborers. Together, they earn approximately PKR 25,000 per month, which is barely enough to provide food and basic necessities for the family. They live in a small mud house in a rural area and are already burdened by financial difficulties and outstanding debt. In these circumstances, arranging money for Razia’s surgery is impossible. Despite her pain, Razia continues to worry more about her family than herself. She dreams of regaining her health so she can once again carry out daily activities without discomfort and spend time with her loved ones without the constant challenges caused by her illness. With nowhere else to turn, Razia reached out to Transparent Hands.

Razia shares her heartfelt appeal as follows:

“Every day, I live with pain that makes even routine tasks difficult. Watching my family struggle to support me is harder than the illness itself. Kindly help me receive this surgery so I can regain my health and continue caring for my family.”

Today, Razia is waiting for a chance to live free from pain and discomfort. Your support can help her receive the treatment and protect her from serious health complications.
