Bismillah Afzal 's Story

One-and-half-year-old Bismillah, a resident of Quetta, had been suffering from shortness of breath and cyanosis since birth. At the age of one year, his parents took him to a doctor who ran some diagnostic tests. He was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). The cardiac surgeon advised him to undergo Open-Heart surgery for Total Correction. He was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, where his operation was performed by Dr. Asim on 30-09-2022.

He was discharged from the hospital after five days of stay. This surgery was made possible with the support of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation. Bismillah has recovered fully after the surgery.
