Tamgha-E-Imtiaz Winners You Don’t Know About

Introduction

Those who dedicate their lives for a mission or a cause, do so without the hopes of any rewards. They aim to excel in a field, and when they reach the top levels, they try to contribute as much as they can. However, it is the responsibility of the state to give proper recognition to these bright and talented minds. Tamgha-e- Imtiaz is Pakistan’s fourth-highest civilian decorative award, and is bestowed on people who have achieved remarkable feats in their fields. In today’s discussion, we talk about some of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz winners you don’t know about.

1- Rameeza Mueen

Transparent Hands is a global crowdfunding platform that raises money for the treatment of patients belonging to the underprivileged section of the country. The organization is the brainchild of Rameeza Mueen, the CEO of Transparent Hands. Since Rameeza was able to witness the plight of patients who were subjected to either malpractice or delaying tactics in the government hospitals, courtesy the travels with her doctor mother, she felt what most of us are only able to read. Something was needed to be done for helping those patients, which needed immediate surgical treatment. With her brother’s help, Rameeza Mueen was able to establish the platform that we know today as Transparent Hands. For achieving this feat, Rameeza was honored with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on 23rd March 2018.

2- Dr. Seemin Jamali

For someone who started dreaming since the age of six, Dr. Seemin Jamali has certainly achieved a lot in her life. The Jinnah Hospital emergency in Karachi has to be one of the most chaotic places in the country. A calm head was desperately needed at this place, which was provided by this calm and composed doctor. She is the hero that we needed at times of despair. We are closer than ever in eradicating polio for good, all thanks to Dr. Jan’s incredible efforts. He was also the main reason why the private sector agreed on participating in the country’s polio eradication program, back in 2001. For making Ex-FATA polio-free, Dr Nadeem Jan was awarded the prestigious Tamgha-e-Imtiaz back in 2018.

5- Saba Qamar

Now, this is one winner of this prestigious award that most of you will easily identify from the television screens in your house. The list of her works is a long one, but there is no denying the fact that Saba Qamar has become the face of Urdu drama in the country, and one of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz winners you don’t know about. Not only the dramas, but the versatile actress has also starred in some of the most popular comedy shows in the country, as well as in several films.
