Heal’s Ahmad Ali’s Congenital Heart Defect

Ahmad Ali's Story
Ahmad Ali, a 1-year-old boy from Kasur, has been struggling with shortness of breath and chest discomfort since birth. His parents noticed early signs of fatigue and breathlessness, especially when he cried. Concerned about his condition, they received a medical consultation, which led to a series of tests and evaluations. After undergoing a thorough examination, Ahmad was diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) that is causing Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO) and mild Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVTO). These abnormalities are affecting the normal flow of blood and placing excessive strain on his tiny heart. To correct these defects and prevent further complications, the cardiac surgeon has advised VSD Closure surgery.
If left untreated, this condition will severely impact Ahmad’s development and quality of life. He may face recurrent respiratory infections, heart failure, irreversible damage to the heart, and in severe cases, it may become life-threatening.
Ahmad lives in his family’s modest home in Kasur with six members, including his parents and three siblings. His father, a laborer, earns just PKR 15,000 per month. With utility bills of PKR 2,000 and educational expenses of PKR 1,500, the family is already facing financial hardships. Affording a costly cardiac surgery for their youngest child is beyond their means. During this time of need, Ahmad’s family has reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Ahmad’s father said in despair:
“Ahmad is too little to express his pain, but we see it in his eyes and shallow breaths. We’re doing everything we can as parents, but this surgery is out of our reach. We don’t have anyone in our family who can support us. Therefore, we ask you to help us during our time of need.”
Your generosity can make a life-changing difference for Ahmad Ali. With your help, he can undergo the necessary heart surgery and breathe easily. Every contribution brings hope to his family and opens the door to a healthy future for this young boy.
