Rida Kashif's Story

Rida Kashif, a one-month-old resident of Karachi suffered from weakness as she was facing problems in taking mother feed. Eventually, her parents took her to the hospital where she had her ECHO. After the results of ECHO came out, the doctor diagnosed her with a Truncus Arteriosus. To treat her condition, the doctor advised Rida’s parents to undergo bilateral pulmonary artery banding. For this purpose, she was admitted to The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, on 14-12-2021. Her surgery was done successfully but her post-operative recovery was very slow. She was provided all the necessary medical attention. However, despite being provided with the best medical care, she passed away due to a cardiopulmonary arrest on 17-12-2021. Transparent Hands is deeply saddened. We pray for her to be granted the highest ranks in the Heavens. She will be dearly missed by her parents and loved ones.
