Ali Hassan, a twelve years old boy, from Lahore, has been suffering from a painful lump in his groin region. After a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Ali Hassan with bilateral Inguinal Hernia. The doctor advised Ali Hassan to undergo Bilateral Herniotomy in order to live a normal pain free life. Herniotomy is a procedure that involves pushing back the Hernia contents to their original place in the body, once the hernia sac is identified. It is classified as an effective procedure, but unfortunately Ali’s parents cannot afford it.

Ali Hassan’s father is the sole earner who is supporting the family. He works as a labourer and hardly manages to earn PKR. 600-700 per day. With a family to raise in this measly income, Ali’s father finds himself in no position to arrange for his son’s surgery. He told us:

“My son is in so much pain, and I feel incredibly helpless. I am unable to do anything to help my son. My son is hurting, and I am just sitting here, waiting for a miracle to happen. Please help my son!”

Ali Hassan, a 12-year-old resident of Lahore, had a different and difficult early childhood compared to other kids. He had been suffering from swelling in his groin region for the last six years. Upon medical examination, the doctors revealed that he was suffering from Bilateral Inguinal Hernia. The doctor advised him to undergo Herniotomy. For this purpose, Ali Hassan was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital. His surgery was performed by Dr. Bilal on 03-11-2021 and his Hernia was fixed successfully. He was discharged the following day from the hospital in a satisfactory condition. Ali Hassan is now looking forward to leading a pain free, comfortable, and healthy life.
