Muhammad Urwa's Story

Muhammad Urwa, an 8-year-old resident of Multan, is facing a challenging battle against cataracts in his left eye. This condition has caused him serious shortsightedness and discomfort, necessitating a second eye surgery. Three years ago, he underwent surgery for a cataract in one eye, but the persisting discomfort has led the doctor to recommend a second surgery. Left eye LMA + IOL to correct his vision.

Muhammad Urwa’s father is a devoted teacher at a seminary, earning a modest income of 20,000 PKR per month. Living in the seminary without a personal home, the family’s financial circumstances are already strained. With two brothers studying in the Madarasa and the entire family dependent on Muhammad Urwa’s father as the sole breadwinner, their resources are stretched thin. Monthly bills amount to around 2,000 PKR, and they also have a loan of 150,000 PKR to repay. In such challenging circumstances, affording the surgical expenses for Muhammad Urwa becomes a big burden for his father.

Muhammad Urwa’s father said it in a depressed tone:

“My heart aches to witness my son Muhammad Urwa endure the challenges caused by his cataract. We are in desperate need of assistance, as our limited income cannot cover the expenses required for his necessary eye surgery. We humbly request your generosity in helping us overcome this obstacle and restore our son’s vision.”

Transparent Hands has taken up his case, and we are working towards securing the necessary funds for his eye surgery. We acknowledge that no child should suffer from visual impairment when a solution is within reach. We invite you to join our mission to provide medical support to children like Muhammad Urwa, who are grappling with visual impairments.
