Change Abuzar’s Future with Cochlear Implant Surgery

Muhammad Abuzar's Story
Muhammad Abuzar, a 3-year-old boy from Bahawalnagar, has lived in a world of silence since birth. His parents first noticed his hearing difficulties when he did not respond to their voices or everyday sounds. Worried about their son’s future, they took him to a doctor. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Abuzar with congenital sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that prevents him from hearing and understanding sounds like other children. The doctor recommended a cochlear implant surgery, a life-changing procedure that will enable him to hear and communicate effectively. However, Abuzar’s family is unable to afford the high cost of this surgery.
Abuzar’s inability to hear has made simple tasks difficult. It also affects his ability to communicate with his family, make friends, and play with his friends.
The sooner he receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development which are important at his age. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak.
Abuzar lives in a small home with his five family members. His father, a dedicated police employee, is the sole breadwinner of the family, earning approximately PKR 60,000 per month. Despite working hard, he just manages to cover their household expenses, including food and utility bills. The cost of the cochlear implant surgery is far beyond their means, leaving them feeling helpless. They dream of a day when their son can call them by name, enjoy the sounds of nature, and fully participate in life’s beautiful moments. During this time of need, Abuzar’s parents contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Abuzar’s family shared their heartfelt plea as follows:
“We wish to communicate with Abuzar and we want him to live a life full of opportunities and happiness. But without this surgery, his world will remain silent. Please help him.”
Abuzar’s future depends on your kindness. With your support, he will have the opportunity to experience the joy of sounds and communicate freely with others.
We urge you to contribute and provide him with the future he truly deserves. Make a life-changing impact today!

Muhammad Abuzar's Story
Muhammad Abuzar, a 3-year-old boy from Bahawalnagar, was unable to hear the sounds around him since birth. Abuzar had never heard his parents' and siblings’ voices and faced difficulty communicating even about his basic needs. Worried about his condition, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a series of tests and examinations, the doctor diagnosed Abuzar with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. To treat this issue, his doctor advised cochlear implant surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s reach.
Abuzar lived in a modest home with his four family members. His father, the sole provider for the family, worked as a police employee and made just PKR 60,000 per month. This income was just enough to cover their utility bills, food, and other living expenses. Abuzar’s life-changing surgery was expensive and they were unable to pay for it. They dreamed of a day when their son could actively communicate with his friends and fully participate in life’s beautiful moments. In their search for a solution, they finally found Transparent Hands and asked for help.
On February 5, 2025, Abuzar was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Imran Saeed successfully placed the internal component of the cochlear implant device. Abuzar remained under observation for a day. On February 6, 2025, he was discharged in satisfactory condition from the hospital.
Six weeks after the surgery, the external component of the cochlear device was installed for proper functioning. To fully navigate the world of sounds, he will start receiving speech therapy sessions.
Abuzar's family expressed their happiness as follows: “We can’t believe that he is able to hear now. It feels like a dream has come true, knowing he can now connect with us and the world around him. We are incredibly grateful to you for supporting his surgery.”
Abuzar is now recovering and learning to recognize different sounds and words. All of it was made possible through your kindness and generosity. Abuzar’s family extends their deepest gratitude to you for making a significant difference in Abuzar’s life. They will never forget your generosity.
