Dawood Ahmed 's Story
“Our son has been deprived of social life that every child deserves. My wife has to carry him all the time because he cannot take care of his hygiene. He is too little to understand what’s wrong with him. Whenever I don’t let him go outside to play, he cries for hours while his mother soothes him hopelessly. I want him to live a carefree childhood like his brothers but I cannot afford his expensive treatment. Please, help my son.” – Dawood’s Father
Dawood Ahmed is 4.4 years old patient of anorectal malformation since birth. His anus and rectum did not develop properly, leading to poor hygiene and stomach problems. Dawood’s father is a laborer and earns 12,000 PKR per month. Dawood has two brothers, one who is in nursery class and the other is only 9 months old.
Dawood has been suffering from this disease since birth. When he was five days old, an immediate colostomy procedure was done to make a temporary passage for stool. After that, his parents visited hospitals more than 40 times, but their plea for help was ignored. They are desperate to treat their son because he needs constant attention and care. His parents are unable to go out leaving him behind or take him anywhere because of his condition.
Dawood suffers from several symptoms including poor hygiene, discomfort, stomach issues, pain, and small rashes on skin. He is unable to play outside or attend school like his age fellows. He has no social life and his parents fear that he might spend his whole life in pain and isolation if he is not treated. Fortunately, his parents found out about Transparent Hands and came to us for his PSARP surgery.
Dawood needs a colostomy closure procedure as soon as possible so he can start enjoying his childhood. Donate any amount you can and let this child live a flourishing childhood like his siblings!

Dawood Ahmed 's Story
Dawood Ahmed, 4 years old, was suffering from high variety anorectal malformation (ARM) resulting in an absent back passage. His emergency colostomy surgery was done at birth to make a temporary passage for stool. His posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP) was done through Transparent Hands, to construct his back passage at the normal site. Now, he came for his colostomy closure. His surgery was done at Akram Medical Complex, on 07-11-19, by Dr Naveed Haider, and he stayed for 4 days in the hospital with good post-operative recovery. He was discharged in good health.
