Eman Mohsin's Story

“The fear of losing our only child escalates with every passing day. She is fighting for her life already because of her disability and non-functional kidney. On top of that, she is diagnosed with Anorectal Malformation which is making her weaker with each passing day. Every cry of her pain makes me wish that I could switch places, and bear her agony instead. ” – Eman’s mother

When Eman was born, her family’s life was filled with happiness. But in less than 24 hours, their world fell apart when doctor told her parents that Eman is disabled from her left side and one of her kidneys is also non-functional. Additionally, she was born with Anorectal Malformation (absence of normal passage for stool). Her disability isn’t curable but her Anorectal disease is. She underwent her first surgery (colostomy) when she was only 1.5 years old. Doctor advised her parents that Eman will need to undergo another surgery for removal of stoma bag which is placed on her abdomen for stool passage.

One year has passed but Eman didn’t get any date for her second surgery. Her parents are already struggling to provide normal life to their only kid due to her disability. Her stoma bag is causing her discomfort and pain in her abdomen. She often cries due to her painful rashes all around her stoma. She also faces stomach issues due to which she is unable to eat and grow normally like other kids. Her parents have tried every possible way to get her operated but hospital kept on putting Eman on long waiting list. Eman cannot wait any longer for her surgery as her daily life is being severely affected because of her disease. Her parents don’t have enough money to get her operated in any private hospital. Luckily, they came to know about Transparent Hands through an old patient.

Eman is now scheduled for her Anal-Transposition (ASARP) in a few days at Akram Medical Complex but her fight doesn’t end here. This little girl needs your prayers and support.

Eman Mohsin's Story

3 years old Eman was suffering from Anorectal Malformation- imperforate anus. She was operated to make her temporary passage for stool when she was only 1 year old. She was advised another surgery to construct her back passage at the normal site. Her surgery was done in Akram Medical Complex on 17-12-18 by Dr. Naveed Haider and her Anterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty (ASARP) was done. She stayed for 2 days in hospital with good post-operative recovery and was discharged with her normally working back passage.
