Fizza Rehman's Story
Fund the surgery of this little girl so that she can get rid of her heart defects.
Fizza Rehman is 15 months old baby girl who lives in a small town of Lahore with her parents and two elder siblings. Fizza’s eldest sister who is now 10 years old, went through cancer at an early age but is now fully recovered. Fizza loves to play with her siblings and other children from neighborhood. This poor family is living together in a one small rented room and working hard to make both ends meet.
Fizza was diagnosed with heart defect when she was born. Her father took her to a specialized private hospital from where she got initial treatment. But, due to limited finance and increasing costs, they had to move to government hospital where the treatment facility was limited. In addition to that, the staff didn’t cooperate well with this poor family. All they told was to prepare the little baby for open heart surgery as soon as possible. Fizza’s father couldn’t afford the surgery amount and they hoped for free of cost surgical treatment for their little daughter. But unfortunately, doctor put Fizza on a long waiting list that means, Fizza’s turn for surgery was to come after thousands of patients.
Fizza’s family couldn’t wait for that long as her condition was getting worse with the passage of time. She was experiencing high fiver, chest tightness, cyanosis (skin turning blue) and loss of consciousness. Her father was working as a civil worker earning only 21,000 per month which is not enough to pay for the surgery cost and also for the household expenses. This family is in debt as they borrowed some amount already for Fizza’s initial treatment.
Luckily, they found about Transparent Hands through someone and they immediately brought Fizza here. Fizza is now scheduled for her major open heart surgery in a few days which is not possible without your kind support. We request you to please give your donations / charity for the surgery of this poor baby.
