Muhammad Abdullah's Story

Muhammad Abdullah’s life has been nothing but a fevered dream. His vision is blurry and his eyes fill with water every few minutes. Before you dive into Muhammad Abdullah’s tale of woes, please know that you can help him. Your donations can change Muhammad Abdullah’s life for the better. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Abdullah’s cataract surgery.

Two years old Muhammad Abdullah has been suffering from a cataract by birth. A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of your eye. For people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is a bit like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window.

To treat this, the doctor has advised Muhammad Abdullah to undergo an Anterior Vitrectomy. Vitrectomy is a surgery to remove some or all of the vitreous humor from the eye. Anterior vitrectomy entails removing small portions of the vitreous humor from the front structures of the eye—often because these are tangled in an intraocular lens. Moreover, Abdullah also needs to undergo an LMA with IOL. LMA with an intraocular lens (IOL) is a brief surgical procedure where the cataract-affected lens inside the eye is removed and replaced with an artificial lens in its place.

Unfortunately, Abdullah’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of these surgeries. His father works as a salesman and hardly manages to earn PKR 12000 per month. He cannot afford his son’s surgery. He told us:

“In just two years, my poor son has seen the pain of a lifetime. Please help him see the world of wondrous colors.”

In hopes of a brighter, disease-free future, Muhammad Abdullah awaits your donations to undergo the first step towards an improved life. Therefore, we request you to donate for Abdullah’s Cataract Surgery and help him restore his vision. Because of you, Muhammad Abdullah can materialize his dream of leading a normal life filled with colors.
