Muhammad Afzal's Story
“Muhammad Afzal has an enlarged prostate which has blocked the flow of urine from the bladder to the urethra. This problem originated 6 months ago and ever since, Muhammad Afzal cannot urinate directly at all and has plastic tubes inserted in his bladder, which are changed after every few days. These plastic tubes temporarily help the urine to flow out, so that it does not cause any infection. Afzal needs to undergo TURP surgery to clear his prostate and open the blockage of urethra.
Muhammad Afzal was a tractor driver with a monthly salary of 6000 PKR. He has 5 children in total, among which one son and daughter also contribute to the family’s income by teaching tuitions. Muhammad Afzal could not continue working ever since the urine blockage. He feels very upset under this situation because he has to carry a plastic bag with him all the time, wherever he goes. The TURP surgery suggested is too expensive for Afzal, but he cannot continue carrying a plastic bag with him forever. The plastic tubes are quite costly as well. Support Muhammad Afzal by donating for his TURP surgery.
