Asia Parveen's Story

Before you dive into the sorry details of Asia Parveen’s ailment, please know that you can relieve her of her pain. Your donations will help us arrange for Asia’s surgery and she will be able to continue her life painlessly. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Asia’s mesh repair as much as you can.

Forty-six years old Asia Parveen suffers from a paraumbilical hernia. Simply put, a paraumbilical hernia is an extremely painful condition that can make the patient’s life quite discontented. Simply described, a hernia refers to the protrusion of an organ or tissue through the weak cavity wall.

To treat this painful condition, the doctor has advised Asia Parveen to undergo a Mesh Repair. Mesh repair is probably the safest way of treating a hernia. Surgical meshes are made of biological material. The surgeon places them in a manner which supports the defect in tissues. Unfortunately, Asia cannot afford the hefty cost of this surgical procedure. Asia is a widow and thus, financially depends on her brothers. She told us:

“I have known pain, all kinds of it. But this pain is like no other. It doesn’t let me sleep at night. I don’t know what to do.”

Asia Parveen circled back and forth to various local hospitals but could not get an immediate date anywhere. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, all the local hospitals are overcrowded with infectants. Moreover, the hospitals are severely understaffed to focus on other ailments like Asia’s hernia’s surgery. Therefore, after a lot of distress, Asia Parveen has registered her case with Transparent Hands. We wish to get her happy and healthy as soon as we can. But, it is not possible without your kind help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Asia’s mesh repair as much as you can.

Asia Parveen's Story

Asia Parveen, aged 46 years, had a lump in her navel region from the last three years. She suffered from abdominal pain and discomfort because of it. On medical examination, she was diagnosed with a paraumbilical hernia. The doctor advised mesh repair surgery (hernioplasty) as the only cure. Therefore, Asia was admitted to Maryam Memorial Hospital and the surgery was performed by Dr. Afsheen Zafar on 08.05.2021. She stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Asia’s hernia has been successfully repaired and her abdominal pain has ended.
