Muhammad Aslam's Story

Before you dive into the heart-wrenching details of Aslam’s ailment, please know that you can help him. Your donations, however small they may be, will enable Aslam to walk again. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Aslam’s artificial leg as much as you can.

Two years ago, due to diabetic foot and uncontrolled sepsis, Muhammad Aslam’s right leg had to be amputated from the above knee level. At first, they waited for the wound to heal. Later, the doctors advised Muhammad Aslam to get a prosthetic implant in place of his amputated leg.

Unfortunately, Muhammad Aslam cannot afford the hefty cost of an artificial leg. Muhammad Aslam used to work as a labourer but due to his amputated leg, he is unable to stand up on his own, let alone do any sort of manual work. Therefore, he has been out of work for many years now. He is financially dependent on his son who also works as a labourer and hardly manages to earn PKR 25000 per month. With a family of 5 to raise, he is unable to bear the cost of his father’s artificial leg. He told us:

“My father is in a lot of pain. Some days I have to stay at home to help him with his daily routine. This affects my work as well. I want to see my father back up on his feet. I hope Transparent Hands fulfils our wish.”

After a lot of distress, Aslam has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We wish to get him healthy and back up on his feet as soon as possible. But, that won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we urge you to donate. Donate for Aslam’s artificial leg as much as you can for this will change his life for good.
