Atta Ullah's Story

Before you dive into the details of Atta Ullah’s cardiac ailments, know that your help can save him. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Atta Ullah’s cardiac procedure.

Atta Ullah is suffering from a heart disease named Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) by birth. PDA is an abnormal communication between the aorta and pulmonary artery that allows for oxygenated (red) blood to pass into the lungs. The news of Atta Ullah’s congenital heart disease played havoc with his parents’ emotions. They were distressed beyond belief. Consequently, they circled back and forth to several hospitals in search of treatment.

Later, after seeing the reports of Atta Ullah’s chest X-ray, ECG and ECHO, the cardiologist advised some medicines and regular check-up. However, unfortunately, the medication failed to provide permanent relief. Therefore, the cardiologist told Atta Ullah’s parents that the PDA device occlusion procedure is the last hope for his survival.

Unfortunately, Atta’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of his procedure. He works as a daily wage worker and hardly earns PKR 15000 per month. In this measly income, he barely runs the household.

“My son is only three years old. It breaks my heart to see him suffering every day. We have grown so weary in these three years. We have tried everything that might help our son. It is a curse on our luck that nothing has worked. I request you all to please donate for my son’s cardiac procedure.” -Atta Ullah’s Father.

As a last resort, Atta Ullah’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We believe that with your kind donations, we will be able to arrange for his surgery in no time. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Atta Ullah’s cardiac procedure and help us save this young boy’s life.

Atta Ullah's Story

Atta Ullah, aged 3 years, was a very weak child since his birth and suffered from recurrent episodes of fever. His parents took him to the doctor multiple times. After thorough work-up, he was diagnosed with a heart condition called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). It is an opening in the heart that usually closes on its own. However, in Atta Ullah’s case, although small in size, it did not close on its own. Therefore, PDA device occlusion procedure was advised for him. For this purpose, he was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Najam Hyder on 08.03.2021. He stayed in the hospital for one day and was discharged in a stable condition. Atta Ullah has become much more energetic and active since his procedure was performed.
