Upon medical examination, the doctors revealed that he is suffering from left Inguinal Hernia. An Inguinal Hernia occurs when tissue, such as a part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles. The said bulge is painful while coughing and straining. Though Inguinal Hernia isn’t necessarily dangerous, it requires due treatment as it may lead to life-threatening complications. “I suffer from asthma and the attacks further worsen the pain. I also experience frequent episodes of vomiting after meals. I work as an office boy and earn around PKR. 15,000 per month. I saw an unusual swelling in my inguinal region so I went to the hospital for the medical tests and check-ups. We visited many hospitals, but due to COVID the surgeries were delayed till an indefinite period. We can not afford treatment at a private hospital. I have four children and I have to provide for them as well. In these circumstances I can not afford the required amount of money for the surgical procedure. Aurang Zeb's Story
Aurang Zeb, aged 43 years, had a painful lump in his groin region on the left side. The swelling appeared around three months ago. He also complained of frequent episodes of vomiting after taking meals. On medical evaluation, his lump was diagnosed as an inguinal hernia and he was advised surgical repair for it. Consequently, Aurang Zeb was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital and his inguinal herniorrhaphy was performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 15.07.2021. He stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Aurang Zeb’s health has improved significantly post-surgery.
