Bushra Bibi's Story

Bushra Bibi, aged 29, hails from the Khanewal district of the country and has been diagnosed with cholelithiasis. The condition refers to the formation of gallstones. These concretions are usually formed in the biliary tract in the gallbladder and are usually formed because of excessive cholesterol levels in the bile. It is this excess cholesterol that solidifies into what is commonly known as gallstones. Bushra Bibi is a victim of all the painful symptoms that are associated with cholelithiasis, and the last two years have been absolutely nightmarish for her. Consistent pain in the hypochondriac region that often makes her throw up, cholelithiasis has weakened Bushra most horrifically. But there is one hope that has kept Bushra sane through this tough period. A laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

A lap cholecystectomy is performed to remove a cholelithiasis patient’s gallbladder. This is achieved by making a few small incisions on the right side of the patient’s abdominal region. A laparoscope is inserted through one of these incisions, which facilitates the surgery. While the surgery offers a permanent solution to Bushra Bibi’s problem, there is no denying the fact that it is quite an expensive medical procedure. Bushra Bibi’s family is going through a period of financial crisis, which is why affording a laparoscopic intervention of this nature is out of the question right now. Bushra says:

“We are a six-member family living in a five-Marla house, and the only financial stream that keeps life going in our house is my husband’s monthly income of mere 15 grand. So no matter how bad my body aches every time I move a muscle, I am not going to make my family’s already-in-plight financial status even more miserable by saving up for my surgery. All I am hoping for now is a miracle, one that makes this pain go away from my life forever”

That miracle Bushra Bibi is talking about, you are the one who can make this miracle happen. If you donate, no matter how small your donation might be, you will provide Bushra Bibi with a chance of having another go at life. You will enable her to live a life that is void of all the pain she had to endure in the last couple of years. So, to help Bushra Bibi win at life again, DONATE for her lap cholecystectomy NOW!
