Farmeed Asif's Story

Farmeed Asif, aged 22 years is a resident of Lahore. Farmeed Asif’s LSCS has become a necessity due to some pregnancy related complications. She has had her first two children born after cesarean section as well. She is expecting for the third time. Now when 7 months of pregnancy have passed, the gynaecologist has advised her lower segment Caesarean section (LSCS) again. Unfortunately her husband can not afford Farmeed Asif’s LSCS, and she has shared her story as follows:

“I  always wanted to have three children. We were very happy to find out that we are going to be parents again. I prayed to the Almighty for a safe delivery, but we found out that there were some complications due to which I was advised to undergo LSCS. We were worried about affording this procedure as my husband is a labourer and he earns around PKR. 12,000 per month. In this meagre amount my husband is also supporting a family of four members that includes me and our 2 children. Luckily the doctor got us connected with Transparent Hands. The organisation has promised to assist us. We are extremely grateful.”
