Donate for Ismail’s Second Stage Urethral Surgery
Muhammad Ismail's Story
Muhammad Ismail, aged 4 years, was diagnosed with penoscrotal hypospadias at the time of his birth. In this condition, there is abnormal division of the scrotum and the urethral opening is also not present on its usual location. The doctor advised surgical correction after Ismail got a little older. Multiple stages of surgery are required for the correction of this defect. First stage of BRACKA surgery for reconstruction of new urethra was performed around three months ago. The surgery was carried out with the cooperation of Transparent Hands team. Now, BRACKA stage II Urethroplasty is required.
Ismail and his family have requested our team to assist them with the second stage surgery as well. This is because Ismail’s father works in a courier company in Saudi Arabia. He earns only 1200 Riyal per month and bears the responsibility of feeding and clothing nine members of his family.

Our financial situation has deteriorated because of the pandemic. We have hardly been able to make both ends meet. It has been a very tough year. On top of all this, Ismail’s grandfather is also a cancer patient. Therefore, we have requested the TH team to help us with Ismail’s second surgery as well.”– said Ismail’s mother.

Muhammad Ismail's Story
Muhammad Ismail, aged 4 years, suffered from a condition called penoscrotal hypospadias. It is a birth defect in boys. In this condition, the opening of the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis. Ismail was recommended three stages of surgery. His first surgery was carried out with the support of Transparent Hands team. Later, for his second surgery, Ismail was admitted to Akram Medical Complex and his staged urethroplasty Bracka II surgery was performed by Dr. M. Bilal Mirza on 2nd Aug, 2021. He stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Ismail has recovered swiftly post-surgery.
