Kalsoom Allah Ditta's Story
Kalsoom is in a lot of pain right now. Your help can get her rid of the misery that occupies her life 24/7. Your donation, however small it may be, will help Kalsoom get the treatment she needs. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Kalsoom’s pyelolithotomy as much as you can.
Twenty-two years old Kalsoom hails from a remote area near Sindh. The area doesn’t have access to necessities of life let alone quality healthcare. Therefore, when Kalsoon felt a searing pain in her left lumbar region, she ignored it. For the next nine years, Kalsoom felt this pain on and off. When the pain became unbearable, Kalsoom visited a doctor in a town nearby. After testing, she was diagnosed with renal stones in her left kidney that have formed a staghorn calculi. Staghorn calculi, also sometimes called coral calculi, are renal calculi that obtain their characteristic shape by forming a cast of the renal pelvis and calyces, thus resembling the horns of a stag.
To treat this condition, the doctor has advised Kalsoom to undergo a pyelolithotomy. Pyelolithotomy is a surgical procedure used to remove the staghorn calculi.
Kalsoom’s husband is a farmer. He hardly earns PKR 12000 per month. In this measly income, it is impossible for him to save up for his wife’s surgery. He told us:
“Kalsoom has been bearing her pain in silence for too long now. It hurts me to see her like that. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please donate for my wife’s surgery.”
With the help of their doctor, Kalsoom has registered her case with Transparent Hands. We wish to get her happy and healthy as soon as possible. But, we need your help with that. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Kalsoom’s pyelolithotomy as much as you can.

Kalsoom Allah Ditta's Story
Kalsoom, aged 22 years, experienced recurrent episodes of abdominal pain in her left lumber region for the past nine years. More recently, she noticed that her frequency of urination had increased and she felt a strong burning sensation during urination. When she consulted a local doctor, she was diagnosed with renal stones in her left kidney (staghorn calculous). The doctor advised surgical intervention for the removal of these stones. For this purpose, Kalsoom was admitted to Lala Medical Complex and her pyelolithotomy was performed by Dr. S.R Balouch on 29.05.2021. Her renal stones were removed and a DJ stent was also placed. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Kalsoom feels much better after the removal of her kidney stones.
