Khadija Bibi's Story

Before you proceed to read the details of Khadija’s life, please know that you can help her. Your donations can help Khadija become healthy again. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Khadija’s Colostomy closure surgery as much as you can.

Six and half years old Khadija, a resident of Kasur, has the most beautiful eyes. Behind those sparkling beautiful eyes, is a truth unknown to the world. Khadija suffers from a congenital disorder called Recto vestibular Fistula. A recto vestibular fistula, also referred to simply as a vestibular fistula, is an anorectal congenital disorder where an abnormal connection (fistula) exists between the rectum and the valval vestibule of the female genitalia. To treat this, Khadija has had a Colostomy, and PSARP surgery. Now, as the third and final step of the procedure, Khadija has to undergo a Colostomy closure surgery.

A Colostomy Closure surgery is an integral step in Khadija’s journey towards recovery. However, it is not an affordable surgery. Unfortunately, Khadija’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a Colostomy closure surgery. Now, they have requested Transparent Hands for help. Khadija’s father works as a daily wager and hardly manages to earn enough to raise a family. Consequently, with a family to raise, he cannot afford the surgical expenses of his daughter’s procedure. He told us:

“My daughter is such a bright and decent little lady and seeing her going through so much since birth breaks my heart. Please whoever is reading this, help her get cured and make her future bright. ”

After a lot of effort and distress, Khadija’s parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. We want to get her happy and healthy as soon as we can. But, we need your help with that. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Khadija’s Colostomy closure as much as you can.

Khadija Bibi's Story

Seven-year-old Khadija Bibi, a resident of Kasur, was suffering from abnormal communication of her back passage with the genital tract since birth and was diagnosed with RectoVestibular Fistula. The doctor advised staged surgery, colostomy, PSARP, and then colostomy reversal to correct this defect. She needed to undergo the first stage of her surgery: colostomy. For this purpose, Khadija Bibi was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital where her surgery was performed successfully by Dr. Daud on 27.04.2022. She stayed in the hospital for four days and was discharged in a stable condition.
