Khair Muhammad, a seventy-five-year old man from Tando Allahyar, has been suffering from lower abdominal pain and puss in the urine for the last three years. He was taken to different public hospitals for treatment but due to continuous delays from the hospitals, he could not get a proper diagnosis. Finally, he went to a private hospital where the doctor diagnosed him with Prostate Cancer. The doctor advised a TURP along with bilateral Orchidectomy. Orchidectomy is a surgical procedure which involves the removal of testicles. The surgery is the treatment for Prostate cancer.

Khair Muhammad is a labor. He hardly manages to earn PKR. 10,000 per month. He has a family of six members to feed. With this meagre income and a large family t feed, it is very difficult for him to put food on the table. Affording this surgery is out of the question for him. He cannot afford his surgery on his own. Khair Muhammad shared his distress with us in the following words:

“I am just an ordinary laborer and have five daughters. My life was already not easy and now I have this deadly disease. Please help me as soon as you can.”

Khair Muhammd is a laborer and has difficulties meeting his monthly expenses, and therefore, he cannot afford his surgery. Khair Muhammad's Story

Khair Muhammad, a 75-year-old resident of Tando Allahyar, was suffering from lower abdominal pain and puss in urine for the last three years. Doctors gave him symptomatic treatment but he didn’t recover. He went to another doctor and was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The doctor advised him to undergo Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) with Bilateral Orchiectomy. For this purpose, he was admitted to ISRA Hospital where Dr. Rajab Ali carried out his procedure on 25-01-22. Khair Muhammad was kept under observation for two days and discharged in good health. He is feeling much better now.
