Khalil Rehman's Story
Khalil’s future depends on your donations. Before you read the details of Khalil Rehman’s case, we would urge you to please donate for Khalil’s surgery and make his future brighter and free of disease.
Khalil Rehman, a three-year-old resident of Matiari, Sindh has been suffering since his birth. He has been enduring pain while urinating and suffering from hernia since he was born. Khalil was taken to a public hospital and upon further evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Khalil with Left Hydrocele and Hermia. A hydrocele is a type of swelling in the scrotum that occurs when fluid collects in the thin sheath surrounding a testicle. As a lasting cure, the doctor advised Khalil to undergo a Ligation of Patent Processus Vaginalis. Ligation of Patent Processus Vaginalis (PPV) is the name of the operation used to treat a Hydrocele and Hernia in a young child.
Khalil’s father is an Imam of a local mosque and earns PKR 8,000 a month. With this meager income, he hardly manages to put food on the table. It is impossible for them to afford the cost of this procedure. Khalil’s father shared his ordeal with us in the following manner:
“ When we were told about his condition, we were told that this could go away by itself but it never did. We kept seeing our son helplessly suffering from this disease. I kept praying for a miracle and asked the Almighty to help my son. Then, I got to know about Transparent Hands. I have complete hope that they can help me and get my son’s surgery done.”
Now that Khalil is registered with Transparent hands, we will do everything possible to get him cured. But, we will need your assistance to get this procedure done. Therefore, we would request you to please donate for Khalil’s surgery.
Disclaimer: Transparent Hands makes sure that all the patients get surgery in time.
