Mujeeb Ullah's Story

We are not undermining anyone’s pain, but seeing little children suffer is more painful than anything else. 18 months old Mujeeb Ullah’s short story will make you question the fairness of life if nothing else. Mujeeb suffers from a congenital heart defect called PDA. But judging by the blank look on your face, we guess you are not aware of this disorder. Well, let us tell you a bit about it then!

PDA or Patent Ductus Arteriosus refers to a persistent abnormal communication between the two major vessels which carry blood to the lungs from the heart. In simpler words, a new-born baby’s blood must receive oxygen in the lungs, which is possible only if Ductus Arteriosus (a communication) closes. Failure of the closure of this opening leads to skipping of oxygen rich to the lungs which should go into the body. The good news is that the condition is treatable via a surgical procedure called PDA device occlusion. As you might have gathered from the term, it is a cardiac intervention that aims at closing the Ductus Arteriosus. The surgery effectively sorts the circulation problem, thereby allowing the patient to enjoy a normal life.

Mujeeb has been advised a PDA device occlusion as well. But since Mujeeb’s seven-membered family is already battling on the financial front, affording an expensive surgical procedure like this is not going to be possible for Mujeeb’s family, as his father describes the situation aptly:

I stitch clothes all day, but there is one opening that I cannot stitch close, and that is in my son’s heart. Those who can ask for too much money, much more than the 20 grand I make per month. But I have heard there ARE people at Transparent Hands who can help me, and it is in them that I have put my remaining shreds of faith”

When Mujeeb’s father says people, he means YOU. Yes, you have to help Mujeeb! All that you have to do is DONATE for Mujeeb Ullah’s PDA device occlusion procedure via this portal NOW!
