Polina Bibi's Story

Before you proceed to read the details of Polina Bibi’s ailment, please know that you can help her. Your donations, however small they may be, will change Polina Bibi’s life for the better. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Polina’s hip replacement surgery as much as you can.

Ten years ago, Polina Bibi fell from the stairs and sustained trauma to her hip joints. The pain was bearable. Therefore, Polina Bibi did not go to the hospital and took bed rest for five days instead. Over time, Polina Bibi’s pain got worse. Now, she is at a point where she cannot walk anymore. The doctor has diagnosed her with Advanced Osteoarthritis in her right hip joint.

Advanced osteoarthritis is the most severe form of the disease. Osteoarthritis is a progressive condition, meaning it gets worse over time. Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes the cartilage in the knee joint to thin out. In consequence, the surfaces of the joint become roughened, thus creating friction. As a result, the movement becomes painful, and the joint becomes stiff. Due to this condition, Polina Bibi is not able to get up or walk. Moreover, the pain has become unbearable for her. Therefore, the doctor has advised her to undergo Hip Replacement surgery. But, unfortunately, it is beyond Polina Bibi’s affordability. She told us:

“My husband is a mechanic, and he hardly manages to earn PKR 15000 per month. Even if we save for an entire lifetime, we won’t be able to raise enough funds for my surgery. Please help us.”

After a lot of distress, Polina Bibi has requested Transparent Hands for help. We have assured her that we would arrange her surgery as soon as possible. Now, all we need is your help. Donate for Polina’s hip replacement as much as you can. Donate now!
