Donate for Razia Bibi’s Thyroidectomy
Razia Bibi's Story
Before you dive into the story of Razia Bibi’s woes, we wish to remind you that you can make a difference in her life. Your donation, however small it may be, can make a huge difference in Razia Bibi’s life. Therefore, we urge you to donate for Razia Bibi’s thyroidectomy.
For the last seven years, Razia Bibi had been suffering from breathlessness, insomnia, and pain in her throat. At first, these problems were mild, but their severity increased over time. Upon consultation, the doctor advised her to get some tests. Per the reports, the doctor diagnosed her with a toxic MNG. Toxic MNG refers to the presence of multiple nodules in the thyroid gland. These nodules are responsible for the imbalanced production of thyroid hormones.
Seeing her condition, the doctor has advised her to undergo a subtotal thyroidectomy after medical control of the disease. Subtotal thyroidectomy is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon removes majority of the thyroid gland. However, the surgeon leaves some part of thyroid tissue to achieve a normal thyroid function.
Unfortunately, the cost of surgery is out of Razia Bibi’s affordability. She told us:
“I haven’t had a second of peace in the last seven years. Even breathing has become an ordeal task for me. There are days I wish to never get up from the bed again. It is a dark, gloomy time of my life. Transparent Hands seems to be the only ray of hope right now.”
The only thing standing between Razia Bibi and the surgery she needs is financial constraint. Therefore, as a last resort, Razia Bibi has requested Transparent Hands for help. We wish to get her healthy and happy as soon as possible. Now, all we need is your help. Please donate for Razia Bibi’s thyroidectomy.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
Razia Bibi's Story
Razia Bibi, aged 38 years, had a lump on the front side of her neck that appeared around seven years ago. She also suffered from palpitation, breathlessness, weight loss, and insomnia. When the symptoms got unbearable, she decided to pay a visit to a doctor. Her complete workup was done and she was diagnosed to have been suffering from toxic multinodular goiter. Her medical management began immediately and the disease was controlled.
The doctor later advised subtotal thyroidectomy for the permanent cure of her goiter. For this purpose, Razia was admitted to Akram Medical Complex and her surgery was performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 30.04.2021. She stayed in the hospital for three days and was discharged in a stable condition. Razia’s health has improved a great deal after the surgery.
