Rida Fatima's Story

Rida Fatima has been facing a life-threatening heart disease since birth. This little girl also finds it difficult to play as she suffers from breathlessness. We request you to donate for Rida’s TOF Repair Surgery and help her lead a healthy life.

Rida Fatima, a six-year-old resident of Lahore, Punjab, is suffering from a congenital heart disease. She has been experiencing giddiness and breathlessness since birth. Rida’s parents took her to the hospital when she was finding it difficult to breathe. Upon consultation, she was advised by the doctor to undergo a number of diagnostic tests to determine her disease. Rida’s reports revealed that she is suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is a group of four congenital heart defects. The doctor then advised her to undergo Angiography followed by TOF Repair. Rida’s physical health has been severely affected by her illness and her parents are really concerned.

Rida’s father works as a salesman and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. In these gloomy times and with a meager income, it is impossible for Rida’s parents to afford the hefty cost of this surgery. However, they still have some hope left because they now know that donors like you exist in this world. Rida’s mother expressed her feelings in the following words:

“I’m constantly concerned about my child ’s health. This heart disease is like a silent killer. She becomes anxious every time she has to go to the hospital. Please help us.”

Rida Fatima's Story

Six-year-old Rida Fatima, a resident of Lahore, was born with a congenital cardiac defect. She had been experiencing weakness and breathlessness. Upon consultation, she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot. She was advised to undergo Angiography followed by open-heart surgery to repair the defects. Therefore, she was sent to Ittefaq Hospital to get her surgery done on 19-04-2022 by Dr. Salman A Shah. Postoperatively, she was kept under observation for intensive monitoring as she had an unusual delay in her recovery. Finally, she progressed to full recovery perfectly and was discharged after 15 days of stay in the hospital. Rida Fatima’s heart is now healthy.
