Muhammad Saqib's Story

Before you dive into the gory details of Saqib’s ailment, we want you to know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will help Saqib lead a normal life. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Saqib’s ileostomy reversal as much as you can.

At the age of seven months, Saqib suffered from severe abdominal pain. After evaluation and further investigations, the doctors diagnosed Saqib with Perforated Meckel’s diverticulum. It is a congenital anomaly of the small intestine which causes complications like this one. To treat this condition, Saqib has already undergone an ileostomy.

Now, at the age of two years, as the last step of the procedure, the doctor has advised Saqib to undergo an ileostomy closure in which his bowel continuity will be restored to normal. While an Ileostomy Closure surgery is an integral step in Saqib’s journey towards recovery, unfortunately, it is not an affordable one. Saqib’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of an Ileostomy reversal surgery.

Saqib’s father works as a security guard in Lahore. Despite long shifts and hectic duty, he hardly manages to earn PKR 20,000 per month. In this income, he has to take care of a family of 6. Therefore, he is in no position to arrange for his son’s surgery. He told us:

“My son Saqib has the most beautiful smile. I feel so helpless to see him in pain. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please help me and my son.”

After a lot of distress, Saqib’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands. We want to get him healthy and happy as soon as we can. Now, all we need is your help. Therefore, we request you to donate for Saqib’s Ileostomy reversal as much as you can. Your support will set Saqib on a path towards a healthy life. Donate now!

He stayed in the hospital for five days and was discharged in a satisfactory condition. Saqib is slowly recovering from his major surgery.
