Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed's Story
Six years old Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed suffers from a right inguinal hernia, a condition that comes with too much pain for anyone, let alone a child. It is not as if the condition has developed all of a sudden. Rather, Ahmed has been suffering from this disorder since his birth. For those of you who don’t know much about hernias, an inguinal hernia refers to a protrusion of abdominal contents through the inguinal canal. The consequences of this disorder include constant stretch and pain. And while hernia patients need a lot of care, Ahmed has been through the mill so far. His first doctor couldn’t handle his case, the temporary relief medicines are losing their efficacy and now when surgery is needed on an immediate basis, Ahmed’s family finds itself in a helpless position.
A herniotomy is the easiest way of removing a hernia sac, a surgery that can put Ahmed’s misery to an end. But while the treatment is effective, it is also expensive. And there you have it. The dilemma Ahmed’s father faces right now! Buy groceries or afford a herniotomy? Ahmed’s father says:
“It is hard enough to manage six people’s needs and wants when you are the only breadwinner in the house. But saving up funds for my son’s treatment, yes my son’s treatment, is nearly impossible in the current circumstances. I am a lockmaster by profession, but in real life, I am still after the key that opens up the doors, hidden behind which is help. And God knows, my poor boy could do with some help”
Fortunately for Ahmed, his family has just found that key. Transparent Hands. We are going to make sure that Ahmed gets his herniotomy and in good time. But we are going to need your help in making it possible as well. So, please donate for Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed’s right herniotomy NOW!
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
