Donate for Taimoor’s Knee Replacement
Taimoor Shah's Story
Before you dive into the gory details of Taimoor Shah’s ailment, please know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will get Taimoor back on his feet. Therefore, we request that you please donate for Taimoor’s Knee replacement as much as you can.
For the last four years, Sixty-nine years old Taimoor Shah has been suffering from Osteoarthritis involving both knees which resulted in restricted mobility. Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes the cartilage in the knee joint to thin out. In consequence, the surfaces of the joint become roughened, thus creating friction. As a result, the movement becomes painful, and the joint becomes stiff. Due to this condition, Taimoor is not able to get up or walk. Moreover, the pain has become unbearable for him.
To treat this, the orthopedic surgeon has advised Taimoor to undergo a bilateral total knee replacement surgery. It is a surgical procedure to replace the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain and disability. At first, the orthopedic surgeon performed this surgery on the right side. This time, after his right leg recovery, now, Taimoor has been advised to undergo a knee replacement surgery on the left side.
Unfortunately, Taimoor Shah cannot afford the hefty cost of knee replacement surgery. Due to his withering age, Taimoor has been unable to work. He is financially dependent on his son, who has a private job and hardly manages to earn PKR 15000 per month. Therefore, he is unable to arrange for his father’s surgery. He told us:
“Old age has not been very kind to my father. For the last four years, he has been unable to walk or get up from the bed. It’s so taxing to see him suffer like that.”
We cannot even imagine the constant pain Taimoor is in. But, we can empathize with him for sure. He has requested Transparent Hands for help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Taimoor’s knee replacement as much as you can. Our help will get him back up on his feet in no time.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website.
