Donate for Urwa’s Cochlear Implant
Urwa Khan's Story
Urwa has been suffering a lot at such a young age because she was born without the ability to hear. You can help her live like all the other girls her age by supporting her cochlear implant surgery. We request you to donate for Urwa’s cochlear implant as much as you can and help her lead a normal life.
Four-year-old Urwa Khan, a resident of Sargodha, has been suffering from hearing loss since birth. Her parents were unaware of her condition till she was a year old. They noticed that she was not responding to sounds. They took her to the nearest hospital. After running some tests, the doctors diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. She was later advised to get a cochlear implant. In a cochlear implant surgery, an electronic device is implanted surgically in the patient’s ear which helps the patient develop a sense of hearing.
Urwa Khan’s parents cannot afford to pay for the expensive cochlear implant due to financial constraints. They live in a small house and her father has to support a family of five members with his meager income of PKR 40,000 per month. It’s next to impossible for them to pay for their daughter’s treatment.
They found out about Transparent Hands and reached out to us. We are determined to help this family. Now, we only need your assistance to help improve this little girl’s future.
“Her birth was a moment of joy for us until we came to know about her hearing disability. My little girl is suffering from hearing loss and I am unable to pay for the treatment she needs. Help me get her surgery done.” – Urwa’s father
Urwa’s parents are hoping that a generous donor like you will help their daughter explore the world or sounds for the first time. Please donate for Urwa’s cochlear implant surgery and give her the gift of hearing.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
