Donate Hijab Farooq for her Colostomy Closure
Hijab Farooq's Story
She is unable to go to school due to her stoma bag. Donate for her surgery now!
Hijab Farooq is a 9 years old girl who lives in a rural area of Lahore with her parents and 3 school going siblings. Hijab is a student of class 1 but due to her disease, she often remains absent from school. Hijab was born with Anal Stenosis – narrowing of the anal canal due to which she is unable to pass stools through normal passage. She underwent her first surgery two years ago at a local hospital. Doctor opened her stool passage on her abdomen and recommended that Hijab will need another surgery to revert back her normal passage.
Her parents have been taking her to the hospital for 2 years but they don’t give surgery date for her second procedure. Her father works as a clerk and earns around 20,000 rupees a month. In such meager income, it is impossible for him to take his daughter to any private hospital for surgical treatment. Hijab is experiencing severe abdominal pain and rashes these days. She is embarrassed to go to school with her stoma bag. Her parents don’t take her out due to bad odor coming from her bag every time. They came to know about Transparent Hands through a family member and they immediately came here without wasting any time.
Hijab is now scheduled for her Colostomy Closure in a few days at Akram Medical Complex. Her parents say that, “our daughter cries in pain all the time. She is ashamed to go out with her stoma bag. Please help us”.
Donate for her surgery as much as you can. Your little support can create a lasting impact in this girl’s life!
