Javeria is a beautiful baby girl who lives in a small house in Lahore with her elder brother, mother and uncle. Her father, who was a drug addict, left his family long time ago. Javeria’s mother took them to her maternal home where they have been living for a long time. Javeria’s uncle is the sole earner of the family. He earns a little amount through labour work in a factory. He hardly manages to pay for his expenses and also provide three times meal to his sister’s (Javeria’s mother) family. On top of that, Javeria’s health is getting worse with each passing day and due to limited finance, this family is unable to help her.
Javeria was diagnosed with Recto-Vestibular Fistula when she was only five months old. She underwent free of cost surgical treatment at a local hospital to divert her passage for stool by making colostomy. The doctor recommended her another surgery so that her back passage can be made at the normal site. Her mother and uncle don’t have sufficient funds to get her operated. They contacted local hospital again for her second surgery, but they have put Javeria on a long waiting list. She has been waiting for her second surgery since last one year but until now, doctor didn’t give them any positive response.
Javeria’s daily activities are being affected due to her stoma and her quality of life is compromised. She feels pain, redness, swelling and bleeding at the stoma site. Luckily they came to know about Transparent Hands through a relative and they immediately came here. Javeria is now scheduled for her surgery (Primary Anterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty) in a few days at Akram Medical Complex. She needs your support in funding her surgery. Please donate for her so that she can get rid of her bothersome disease and starts living a healthier life.
