Naseem Bibi is a 42 years old mother of 7 kids who lives in a small town of Lahore. Only two of her children go to school. Due to poor financial condition, they cannot afford to send other kids to school. Naseem Bibi’s husband and older son work in a Printing Press and earn around 20,000 rupees together. In such meager income, they have to feed the family and also bear other household expenses. For last 10 years, they are living miserable life due to Naseem Bibi’s health.

Naseem Bibi is a patient of Endometrial Hyperplasia – the abnormal thickening of the lining of the uterus due to an increase in the number of endometrial glands. She took medicines from various hospitals and clinics but that could only provide her temporary relief. She has been suffering from this disease for 10 years. Naseem didn’t experience any severe symptoms in start but she is now facing many health issues including abnormal menstrual bleeding, fever, constipation, breathing difficulty and weakness. Due to her heavy bleeding during menstruation, she remains bed-ridden most of the days and not able to work. She underwent some tests recently and doctor has advised her to undergo Hysterectomy to get rid of her painful symptoms. This poor family don’t have enough money to pay for the surgical expenses. They requested many NGOs and hospitals for free treatment but nobody paid attention to her. Naseem is now registered with Transparent Hands for her surgical treatment.

Naseem Bibi's Story

Naseem Bibi 42 years old lady had heavy menstrual bleeding and lower abdominal pain for last 10 years. She was diagnosed to have endometrial hyperplasis and was treated medically. Finally, she was advised hysterectomy to relieve her symptoms which had failed to improve on medical management. Her surgery was done in Akram Medical Complex on 17-10-18 by Dr. Asia Nasir. She stayed for 3 days in hospital and had good post operative recovery. She was discharged in perfect health.
