Donate to Abdul Rehman for His Ileostomy Closure
Abdul Rehman's Story
8-year-old Abdul Rehman contracted typhoid around a year and a half ago. On his way to school one day, he suddenly started experiencing abdominal pain, swelling and vomiting. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for dehydration. However, his abdominal swelling did not recede. Abdul Rehman was then brought to Lahore for a checkup where his parents were told that he has intestinal perforation due to typhoid- a life-threatening condition that can cause blood poisoning if not treated. An ileostomy was immediately performed on him to put him out of danger. After receiving surgical intervention, he recovered from the illness and now requires an ileostomy closure surgery to revert his bodily function to normal.
“It was terrifying for us. Back in Kasur, no matter what the doctors tried, his condition wouldn’t improve. We rushed to Lahore and found out we had brought him in just in time. Thank God we did because a timely operation saved his life. I hope, now that he is well, that someone can help us get his second surgery done” – Abdul Rehman’s mother
Abdul Rehman’s family cannot afford his ileostomy reversal on their own. His father is a daily wager who only earns 13,000 PKR a month. He has to support 4 children and his wife on this meager amount and is unable to accommodate any added expenses. They have requested Transparent Hands to get their son’s surgery conducted.
Abdul Rehman’s parents hope that with your help, their child can be completely normal and healthy once again.
Please lend your help to them.
