Haq Nawaz's Story
Haq Nawaz, age 41 years, is suffering from cholelithiasis; a condition in which stones are formed in the gallbladder. Because of his condition, he has been suffering from extreme pain in the right hypochondriac area for the past three years. Gradually, his condition has worsened and he has started suffering from other symptoms including abdominal distention, stretching, and vomiting. His condition can be treated with a cholecystectomy- surgical removal of the gallbladder- but unfortunately, he is not able to afford his treatment.
Haq Nawaz works as a tailor and manages to earn 20,000 PKR a month on average. Half of this salary goes towards renting a small space for his family of 9 members. The rest of his salary is spent on meeting bare necessities. Some days, this family has to go without food on the table.
“All my customers are in Lahore so I am forced to live in this city. But it is so expensive to live here for people like us that sometimes, we don’t even know where our next meal would come from. I just try to ignore the pain and keep working. If I rest, my children go hungry.” – Haq Nawaz
Unable to afford surgery, Haq Nawaz has been living with extremely uncomfortable symptoms for three years now. It is time we help him find relief.
Please donate to him for his surgery to ensure that.
