Hiba Noor's Story
Imagine an 8 years old running behind at the heels of an ice cream cart. Holding on to the pennies tightly stuck in her hand as if her life depends on it. Now imagine another 8 years old who cannot even take a glass of water down her throat without wincing in pain. Such is the story of Hiba Noor who has been suffering from chronic tonsillitis for the past year. The condition was mild at first but gradually it increased. Now, Hiba is unable to even swallow her food without a hitch.
After thorough check-up, the doctor has advised Hiba Noor to undergo a Tonsillectomy- a surgical procedure in which both of her tonsils will be removed from the back of her throat.
Hiba Noor hails from a small town named Katlang near district Mardan. Her father works as a private school teacher. As the rest of the individuals linked to this noble profession, he is awfully underpaid and overworked. He merely earns PKR 13000 per month. With a family of 6 children to take care of, he cannot afford to bear the cost of Hiba’s surgery.

Hiba Noor's Story
Hiba Noor, 8 years old, had recurrent episodes of sore throat and fever. On complete medical check-up, she was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis. The ENT specialist advised surgical intervention. For this reason, Hiba was admitted in Ahmed Medical Complex and her tonsillectomy was performed by Dr. Syed Mudassir Shah on 26.11.2020. She stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Her post-surgery recovery was satisfactory.
