Donate to Muhammad Asif for His Ileostomy Closure
Muhammad Asif's Story
Muhammad Asif, age 29, suffered from typhoid fever last year, which led to intestinal perforation, a dangerous complication in which a hole forms in the intestine. He had his first surgery at his local hospital for free. In this surgery, his intestinal continuity was interrupted and an ileostomy was made. Now, in order to restore normal gut function, he requires an ileostomy reversal.
“No one else has helped me so far. Every hospital I visited turned me away. Then a welfare trust informed me of Transparent Hands and I became a little hopeful.” – Muhammad Asif
Muhammad Asif has been trying for several months to have his final surgery at the same hospital he had his first surgery but he has not had any luck so far. He cannot otherwise afford the cost of the surgery because he has to support his wife, 10-month-old son, mother and two siblings with only 10,000 PKR a month. An open ileostomy is interfering with his daily life, so he has reached out to Transparent Hands hoping that his surgery can be conducted as early as possible.
