Muhammad Ishfaq's Story
Muhammad Ishfaq, 11 years-of-age, has been diagnosed with a cataract in his left eye, which has caused the lens of the eye to get clouded. He has been experiencing pain and discomfort since the age of 2. Over time, this damage resulted in the formation of cataract leading to a dimness of vision. To restore vision, cataract surgery is required in which his lens will be replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL).
The doctors told his father that the only permanent solution to his condition is an eye surgery.
When Muhammad Ishfaq’s father found out the cost of his eye surgery, he lost hope because it wasn’t within his reach. Earning only a laborer’s salary of 500-600 PKR/day, it is already tough for him to feed his wife and 2 other children, all of whom are dependent on him.
With an insufficient income and so many dependents, Muhammad Ishfaq’s father wasn’t too optimistic about getting his little boy to have his eye surgery. Fortunately, he did find out about Transparent Hands and thought to ask for help immediately. We have registered his case and will get him the medical assistance he needs.
“Having found assistance and guidance from this organization, I am really hopeful for my sons eye operation. After years, he might finally be able to see things clearly.” – Muhammad Ishfaq’s father
