Donate to Muhammad Nadeem for His Total Hip Replacement
Muhammad Nadeem's Story
Around 6 years ago, Muhammad Nadeem, 43 years old, hurt his back while lifting a heavyweight machine during his shift at a factory. He felt a sudden pain, indicating a back sprain. He was diagnosed to have ankylosing spondylitis. Nadeem underwent laser therapy for his backache that offered him some relief.
A year or two after the accident, he was able to go back to doing light work, so he took a job at a small shop. While not in pain, Nadeem still experienced stiffness in his back, which he unfortunately neglected. Gradually, this stiffness progressed to both the hip joints and started causing pain and reduced mobility as well.
“It started with a dull numb pain and then there would be sudden spikes of pain when I stood up or tried to walk. At first, I thought that I was just stiff from sitting down all day but then, it started becoming difficult to walk without support. Then I got scared and went to the doctor, only to find out that both my hips are seriously damaged and need surgery.”– Muhammad Nadeem
Nadeem’s doctor has recommended him to have a bilateral total hip replacement in order to get his mobility back, starting with the right side first, but he cannot afford this procedure. At the shop, he just makes 15,000 PKR/month but his responsibilities far exceed his means; he has to pay monthly rent (7000 PKR/month), expensive utilities (up to 3000 PKR/month) all while meeting the daily needs of his three small children.
We think that if Nadeem cannot afford his surgery, he deserves to have it for free. If you are with us, please send him your support!
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.

Muhammad Nadeem's Story
43-year-old Muhammad Nadeem was diagnosed with bilateral osteoarthritis in his hip joints. He was advised a total hip replacement surgery for the right side which was more painful. He was admitted in Lahore Care hospital. The procedure was performed by Dr. Abdul Latif on 01.10.2020. He stayed in the hospital for two days and had a satisfactory post-surgery recovery. Nadeem was discharged in a stable condition. He could not walk properly before the surgery because of the pain but now, looks forward to walking smoothly again after his hip joint heals.
“I was unable to walk and sit even. Every move caused pain. Climbing stairs or going to the market was almost impossible for me”- Muhammad Nadeem
