Riaz Ahmed 's Story

Riaz Ahmed, aged 53 years, is a patient of diabetes mellitus. He has been living with the ailment for over ten years. Last year he suffered a paralysis attack, his health condition further deteriorated and he now has limited movement of the left arm. Recently, he had an accident while walking to his house as he set his left foot on a spikey stone and injured his heel. Since then, he has been suffering from intense pain, fever, and discomfort. He is unable to walk properly since there is swelling on his left heel as well.

He consulted a physician since the pain killers that he took were not providing any relief. The doctor told him that an abscess had formed on his foot and it needed an incision and drainage under anesthesia.

However, this procedure is expensive. Riaz raises a family of six in his meager salary of PKR 15,000 that he gets from working as an office boy. In these circumstances, he does not have the resources to pay for his treatment. He, therefore, contacted our organization.

Riaz Ahmed 's Story

Riaz Ahmed, aged 53 years, is a diabetic patient. He has lived with the ailment for over a decade. Recently, he was walking home when he tripped over a stone on the roadside. His left foot got injured and later started swelling up. On medical consultation, he was diagnosed to have developed an abscess which needed an incision and drainage. Riaz was admitted to Akram Medical Complex and the procedure was performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 22.06.2021. He stayed in the hospital for one day and was discharged in a stable condition. Riaz is taking rest as advised by his surgeon.
