Rukhsana Bibi's Story
“Transparent Hands is the last hope for our poor mother. Without surgery, she may face other, even more serious complications. We already lost our father. We cannot bear to lose her too. We hope and pray that the donors come through for us.” Rukhsana’s daughter
Rukhsana Bibi, 51 years of age, has been suffering from increased vaginal bleeding for the last 2 years. She was diagnosed with uterine fibroids and doctors have advised her to have an abdominal hysterectomy- surgery to remove the uterus, for permanent relief. Since she couldn’t afford the surgery, she took medicines prescribed by various doctors but only got temporary relief. In the past year, her symptoms of lower abdominal pain and bleeding have gotten worse, leaving her anemic and weak.
Rukhsana Bibi got married about 32 years ago and has two sons and one daughter. Her husband passed away about 15 years ago in an unfortunate car accident. The only earning hand for this family is her elder son, who is a security guard at a private bus company and gets a salary of 15000 PKR per month. The family is living in a small house lent to them by Rukhsana’s parents and are struggling to make ends meet every day. Rukhsana delayed her operation for years because of her financial circumstances. Luckily, she recently came to know about Transparent Hands through someone and asked for help. She is now scheduled for her hysterectomy in a few days.
Her surgery will only be possible with your prayers and support. We request you to please donate to her as much as you can.
