Donate to Saima Bibi for Her Hysterectomy
Saima Bibi's Story
“I have three young, school-going sons. They are pretty self-sufficient, but still, as their mother, I like to actively look after them. In the past few months, my condition has brought my routine to a standstill. I loved being busy but now, I need to lie down a lot. I wish I could be treated as soon as possible so that I can get back to my normal life.”- Saima Bibi
Saima Bibi, 36 years old, has been diagnosed with a fibroid uterus because of which she has been experiencing constant bleeding and lower abdominal pain. The doctors have advised a total abdominal hysterectomy- surgical removal of the uterus and both ovaries- for permanent relief.
Saima Bibi and her husband, Qamar Shahzad, have 3 sons all of whom go to school. Qamar works as a brick mason and manages to earn 25,000 PKR a month. All of this money is used to attend to the basic needs of the family. Because of a shortage of resources, Saima Bibi has visited several local hospitals for free surgery. So far, she has just been given pain medication for temporary relief and has been asked to check back later. The medicines work for a few days but her symptoms always return.
Saima has now requested Transparent Hands to assist her with her surgery, so she can find relief for good.
Please donate to her so she can be operated on at the earliest.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
