Yasmeen Bibi's Story

“My husband has passed away and my eldest son is still in his teens. I want my children to be learning, not worrying about money. I want to bear the burden of our finances and put them through school so they can make something of their lives but I see my deteriorating health shattering these dreams”- Yasmeen Bibi.

Yasmeen bibi is a 39 year old woman who has been experiencing pain in her Right Hypochondriac area along with abdominal distention, stretch, and vomiting for the past 5 years. Her symptoms grew much worse in the past year. After visiting many hospitals, she has been diagnosed with Cholelithiasis and the doctors have advised a Cholecystectomy for permanent relief.

Yasmeen lives with her three sons in Khanewal in a small house provided by her parents. She runs a small store in her house and earns 6000 rupees a month on average. Her husband passed away 19 years ago. Since then, she has had to raise her sons on her own with some help from well off people in her village. Her physical discomfort, however, has made it very difficult for her to work in the past year.

She cannot afford a Cholecystectomy on her own and has turned to Transparent Hands for aid.

Yasmeen Bibi's Story

Yasmeen Bibi, 39 years old, was suffering from pain in the right hypochondrium and epigastric region. She was diagnosed with symptomatic gallstones and was advised surgery for the removal of her gallbladder. Her laparoscopic cholecystectomy was done on 08-12-19, at Abid Hospital, Mian Channu, by Dr Abdul Saeed Sajjid. She remained admitted for 2 days and had good post-operative recovery. Yasmeen was discharged in a satisfactory condition.
