Somedays, it gets really hard to deal with all the aches and pains.” – Zainab Bibi

62-year-old Zainab Bibi is suffering from a lump coming out of her genital tract, frequent abdominal pain, and backache for the last 7 years. Her symptoms have, however, worsened over the past two years rendering her unable to even sit painlessly. She has been diagnosed with utero-vaginal prolapse and the doctors have advised her surgery- vaginal hysterectomy- as a permanent cure.

Zainab Bibi got married about 40 years ago and has 2 sons and 2 daughters who are all married and living separately. Her husband was a labourer but since the last 2 years, he is unable to do any work due to weakness and old age. There is no specific income for this couple; they are often helped by their children and relatives financially. Because of an inability to pay for the surgical costs, Zainab Bibi has tried to carry on despite the discomfort that comes with her condition for almost 7 years. Now, she hopes that Transparent Hands can come to her aid.

Zainab Bibi's Story

Zainab Bibi, 62 years old, was suffering from lower abdominal pain & protrusion of uterus. She was diagnosed with utero-vaginal prolapse. She was advised to have vaginal hysterectomy. Her surgery was performed in Abid Hospital on 03-06-2020, by Dr. Sadaf Aqeel. She remained admitted for 2 days and had good post-operative recovery. She was discharged symptom free, in good health.
