Abu Bakkar's Story

Meet Abu Bakkar, an 8-year-old innocent boy from Karachi, who is experiencing extreme pain and swelling in his right submandibular region (below the jaw). His parents took him to a doctor who, after running some diagnostic tests, told them that he’s suffering from Right Submandibular Duct Stone. It is a condition in which a stone forms in the Wharton’s duct of the salivary gland. Due to this, saliva becomes trapped in the gland and causes pain and swelling. The common symptoms of the disease are dry mouth, painful swelling, and difficulty swallowing.

Due to his persistent condition, Abu Bakkar faces difficulty focusing on his studies and the condition also limits his ability to play with other kids. Hi sdictor has advised him Excision of right Submandibular Gland.

Abu Bakkar’s parents wish to see him grow healthy without any pain or limitations. Unfortunately, affording the cost of the surgery is beyond their financial means. They live in a small two-room rented house. Abu Bakkar’s father, the only breadwinner in the entire family, works as a daily wage laborer. He makes just PKR 20,000 per month. With his insufficient income, he hardly covers the rent of the house amounting to PKR 5000, utility bills of PKR 2500, and education expenses totaling PKR 3000. Due to their financial hardships, they can’t afford to pay for the surgery.

Abu Bakkar’s parents expressed their grief as follows:

“Seeing our son in this continuous pain breaks our hearts. He is struggling every day, not growing properly, and has become weak. We don’t have enough resources to pay for his surgery. For this reason, we need support from donors. Please help us!”

Transparent Hands has registered Abu Bakkar’s case and is committed to helping him. Abu Bakkar’s life is filled with challenges and hardships at this young age. His financial constraints are a great barrier in his path towards recovery.

Abu Bakkar needs your help in this time of need. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in his recovery. Let’s work together and give him a bright future. Donate as much as you can!
