Empower Ghulam Murtaza with Cataract Surgery

Ghulam Murtaza's Story
Ghulam Murtaza, a 10-year-old boy from Multan, is living with blurred and dim vision. His poor eyesight has made everyday tasks difficult and frustrating. Most of his time is spent indoors, where he remains dependent on others for help. His condition has not only delayed his development but also taken away the joys of childhood—learning, playing, and discovering the world. Recently, his parents took him to an eye specialist for a proper diagnosis. After a detailed examination, the doctor diagnosed Murtaza with Bilateral Cataract, more marked in the right eye. To improve his sight and prevent further complications, the doctor has advised Right LMA (Lens Matter Aspiration) with Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation surgery.
Murtaza’s condition has deeply affected his quality of life. He struggles to interact with his surroundings due to his weak vision. Without timely surgical intervention, his condition may worsen, possibly leading to permanent vision loss.
Murtaza lives with his parents and three siblings in Multan. His father, a laborer, earns only PKR 30,000 per month. The family pays PKR 2,500 for utility bills and barely manages to cover other basic expenses. With limited income and four children to care for, they are in no position to afford the cost of this critical eye surgery. They have reached out to Transparent Hands, hoping for support from generous donors.
Murtaza’s father shared his heartfelt plea as follows:
“My son cannot see clearly. He often stays indoors. I just want to see him healthy and active. Kindly help him get this much-needed surgery.”
Your generosity can change Murtaza’s world. Let’s help him see clearly and live with dignity.
