Enable Abdul Samad to Hear the Sounds Around Him

Abdul Samad's Story
Meet Abdul Samad, a 2-year-old boy from Rajanpur, who is unable to hear. Responding to his parents’ and siblings’ voices is beyond his abilities. While playing with his friends, he often wonders why he can’t communicate like them. Upon noticing his hearing impairment, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed Abdul Samad with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL). To open the door to the world of sounds for him, the doctor recommended cochlear implant surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his family’s reach.
The earlier he receives the cochlear implant surgery, the better his chances of speech and language development, which are important at his age. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he may not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak.
Abdul Samad lives in a modest home with his parents and four siblings. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a police employee and makes PKR 55,000 per month. With this modest income, they hardly manage to cover their household expenses, including utility bills and food expenses. They want to give Abdul Samad a chance to spend a childhood like other kids of his age. However, their financial constraints make it impossible for them to pay for Abdul Samad’s surgery. During this time of need, they have turned to Transparent Hands and asked us for help.
His family said in despair:
“Every day without the ability to hear is a challenge for my child. Cochlear implant surgery can change his life, but the surgery is too expensive for us. I’m asking for your support in giving my child the chance to hear and communicate.”
Abdul Samad relies on your generosity. You hold the power to change his life and enable him to explore the world filled with sounds. Every contribution, no matter how small or big, can make a meaningful difference in his life.
